The Vision rune is one of the many runes Shadowhunters are able to use safely, provided to them by the Angel Raziel and is listed in the Gray Book and the Shadowhunter's Codex.[1] Its purpose is currently unknown.
Behind the scenes[]
- In the film, Clary "created" this and drew on her palm, which then temporarily froze demons in the air. A similar one drawn upside down is seen on Valentine's chest.[2]
- On the show, the Vision rune serves to enhance the wearer's sight and even their ability to read from a distance, capable of focusing or "zooming in" on something.[3]
