The Mortal Instruments: The Graphic Novel, Vol. 6 is the sixth volume of the graphic novel adaptation of The Mortal Instruments and is the second for City of Glass. It is written by Cassandra Clare and illustrated by Cassandra Jean.
Description[]
With the Mortal Instruments in his possession, Valentine means to unleash havoc on Shadowhunter and Downworlder alike. Despite this, for many in the Clave, fighting alongside werewolves, faeries, warlocks, and vampires would be as terrible as submitting to Valentine. Clary must convince them that working together–aided by her new rune-creation ability–is their only hope for a future![1]

Trivia[]
- As with all the graphic novels, it contains a bonus scene that was not in the original books. This scene depicts Helen Blackthorn and Aline Penhallow partnering with Bat Velasquez and Maia Roberts, respectively, for the Alliance rune.
- Cassandra Jean was already a significant way through illustrating the book before the fifth volume was released.[2]
- This volume had the potential to be the final graphic novel for the series. Sales dictated whether they proceeded with the second half of The Mortal Instruments or not,[3][4] which they will.[5][6]
- The cover is based off of the Strength tarot card.[7]
