Angelic[]
I have a question: Lake Lyn was affected because The Angel rose from it, and so it has now "magical properties". Does this mean that the lake at Luke's farm has been affected in a similar or equal way after Simon and the gang summoned Raziel there? is this a new Mortal Mirror of sorts?Ollielover (talk) 06:03, July 9, 2019 (UTC)
- I don't think so, no. Before Raziel was summoned from the lake it seems to have been some sort of rift to the void where demons came through, so the presence of an angel may have had a special effect on that lake in particular, a clashing of the seraphic and demonic. Perhaps he purified it or deliberately made the lake that way. Luke's lake was ordinary water before the summoning, so I doubt it would have had the same effect. Considering that the gang would have done it in Central Park if not for the witnesses, it doesn't seem as if they were worried about leaving a magic lake in NY. - Just to add. Perhaps because the purpose of the summonings were different, and so were the results. It could be that the lake became what became the Mortal Mirror because the angel made it so. Before he left, he left the Mortal Instruments as "gifts" to the Shadowhunters, the Mirror being one of them. He likely intentionally left traces of magic on the lake to serve some purpose for them. He would have had no reason to do the same on the one at Luke's farm. ~ redwall64 04:21, December 10, 2019 (UTC)
