The Rio de Janeiro Institute is the Institute located in Rio de Janeiro, currently run by Morena Pedroso.
History[]
In 2007, during the attacks of Sebastian Morgenstern and his Endarkened army, the Rio de Janeiro Institute was one of the last Institutes to evacuate its residents to Idris, which made it vulnerable and one of Sebastian’s likely choices for his next attack. However, he chose the London Institute instead.[1]
In 2010, during a meeting between Magnus, Maia, Lily, and Alec, the latter mentioned that the Rio de Janeiro Institute had also faced problems with mermaids at some point before.[2]
