Patrick of Cumbria was a Shadowhunter who united Shadowhunters, faeries, and mundane earls to drive the demons out of Ireland in 1199. Thanks to their efforts, the country remained demon-free for centuries.
Unfortunately his hard work was undone by Henry VIII in the 1530s when he reasserted English control over Ireland; the demons returned as a result.[1]
