The Paris Institute is the Institute in Paris.
History[]
Between 1901 and 1902, Charles Fairchild temporarily filled in as head of the Institute. During this time, Alastair Carstairs stayed at the Institute for his travel year.[1]
Between August and December 1903, Charles took a junior position at the Institute to train more in politics and help pitch in when the head of the Institute fell ill. He held a meeting for the vampire clans of France but forgot to invite the clan from Marseilles. The vampires to took mortal offense and when Charles didn't exactly apologize, Will Herondale and Tessa Gray were asked to step in as they were trusted among Downworlders. The pair stayed at the Institute for almost a week and attested to it having been an accident with the Mortal Sword. Together, they managed to smooth things over and prevent war, but Charles was no longer welcome there.[2]
The Verlacs of the Institute during the 1970s and 80s repeatedly denied Céline Montclaire's requests for asylum from her abusive parents due to their personal friendship with the couple.[3]
At some point before 2007, Élodie Verlac took over as head of the Institute and took in her nephew, Sebastian after his parents died.[4]
In the fall of 2007, Helen Blackthorn stayed at the Institute for part of her travel year.[5]
