The Pangborn family is an old Shadowhunter family.
History[]
In the 1800s, Silas Pangborn from London committed suicide when he could not be with the person he loved: his own parabatai, Eloisa Ravenscar. When his sister Barbara committed suicide soon after, her husband, Benedict Lightwood, cited her brother's suicide as the reason, but in fact, she took her own life because she had learned that she had contracted demon pox from her husband.[1]
In the 1990s, siblings Emil and Anson Pangborn joined the Circle, a group of dissidents led by Valentine Morgenstern. After their failed Uprising, Emil and a few others, escaped and went into hiding instead of surrendering themselves to the Clave. During a trip to New York in 2007 with Valentine and Samuel Blackwell, Emil was killed by Luke Garroway.[2] Weeks later, Anson was killed by Camille Belcourt, under orders from Lilith, due to his association with the Circle.[3]
