The Shadowhunters' Wiki

Mori Shu was a warlock and former member of the Crimson Hand.

History[]

Mori was a member of the Crimson Hand until he "offended" Shinyun Jung, the cult's leader, forcing Mori to go on the run. Seeking protection, he contacted the half-faerie Shadowhunter Helen Blackthorn, promising her information on the cult's activities and the leader's identity in exchange. He chose her specifically in hopes that she would be sympathetic to his case and to the deaths of the faeries caused by the cult; because of this very fact, however, Helen felt inclined to prove herself to others and thus kept his intel to herself.

They were first supposed to meet in Paris but Shinyun caught up to him and sent demons after Mori and the Shadowhunters he was going to meet with. Mori managed to escape and once again made plans to meet Helen at the Downworlder party, celebrating their victory in the Mortal War, in Venice, to be held in the cult's old headquarters. At one point, he told Helen to look into possible cult activities in Rome.

At the party, however, before he could meet with Helen, he was found by Shinyun and killed to prevent him from spilling their secrets. She stabbed him with her samgakdo, leaving a wound that resembled a vampire bite, throwing the investigating Shadowhunters off track. His body was discovered later, beneath marble that fell when the building collapsed, and Magnus Bane arranged for his body to be taken away by faeries afterwards.[1]
