Heya, Clarysfairchilds. Thanks again for the help.
I would, however, like to tell you something. First off, I noticed that most of your edits have been revisions; those are appreciated, yes, but, from most of your edits summaries (and also based on my edit reviews), you also expand quite a bit with your revisions. I would like to ask you not to expand too much, especially in character articles. The paragraphs and page/s are getting unnecessarily long with few information actually being added (some not needed). If you haven't yet, you might want to check out the wiki Manual of Style, where most of the rules are laid out for reference. Basically, for this situation, I will point out this one particular reminder from the MoS:
"Information on pages for in-universe elements such as characters, locations, objects, etc., should be as summarized or concise as possible, without leaving the necessary details out; intricate details should be placed on the book articles' "Plot" sections instead. Accordingly, the information detailed on a page should be on the topic of the page, or the focus; related elements mentioned in the article should not be thoroughly explained, especially if it has its own page."
This is good to know, thank you! Everyone I know always jokes that I'm incapable of making a point in 25 words or less, so sometimes I need a reminder that less is more! Thank you for letting me know, I will make an effort to not expand so much! My main skill is just correcting grammar/spelling errors so I should probably stick to what I'm good at anyway. ;)
Hi, there! I just want to say I've bee noticing your edits recently (which I think are awesome), and your inputs in Forum threads, and I would like to personally thank you for them! Keep it up!
I also read that you seem pretty dedicated to editing and expanding pages. I was wondering, would you be interested in becoming a rollback on the wiki? I'm about to become super busy with college, and would love to have a more reliable group of people to watch over the wiki and the maintained accuracy and quality. So if you can maybe commit to becoming a consistent editor, and if you're interested, do say so. If you are considering saying yes, do you have a Facebook account and would you be fine with sharing it with us (since all other admins also chat on Facebook)? Hope to hear back from you soon! ;)
Hello! Thank you so much, I really love this wiki community, the pages are so well set up!
I would love to be a consistent editor! I'm in school too, but I am off the entire summer so I will have a lot of time to dedicate to helping out with maintenance of the site if you need it! And even when school is in session, I'll still be able to help pretty consistently, just not to the intensity that I have been in the last few weeks. I would be happy to give you my Facebook-- my name is Emily Nixon, and the email associated with my FB account is email@example.com (I think since I have my account set so that you can't search for it, you might need it to find me and friend me). My main email is firstname.lastname@example.org, if you'd like to get ahold of me that way. :)
Hi! Thanks, that means so much. :") I've made you a rollback (I also made you a Chat mod, just in case)! Welcome :D And thanks! Where I'm from, school starts when the break begins for other countries, so it pretty much sucks that I'm busy when everyone else has a lot of free time. :P
I'll add you on Facebook. The initials on my Facebook name is AFS, hope you spot it easy enough when you receive the request. ;) --- Okay, I actually can't seem to find your page, so for now, just add my other account, and I'll add you on my real one right after. :D
By the way, I have a question.. out of curiosity, what with your username, "Clarysfairchilds"? :D Did you just randomly add the "s"-es there? :P
Thank you so much! I am happy to join you all! And I will add you. :) There is a suprising number of people with my name on FB so that'll probably be easier anyway. ;)
As for the username, I kind of adapted it from a trend from Tumblr. Since so many people use character names for their usernames in the Tumblr fandoms, a lot of people will add "s"-es to the ends of one or both of the names so that it's different enough to not already be taken. For example, they'll use "jacesherondale" or "isabellelightwoods," etc, because just plain "jaceherondale" or "isabellelightwood" will already be taken. Does that make sense? I feel like I'm not explaining it very well, haha. But yeah, the "s"-es are essentially random. :P
Hai there! I noticed that some of your edits were good, so I was wondering if your interested to join this team, where I will be giving you instructions and make wiki edits/style making sure your potential is maximum exhibited..... so WIP project will go along as you learn and edit... Please refer this Forum post for information if your interested... I would be glad to work with you and don't think this is a random post, only selected editors are invited! =)
I am definitely interested! I really enjoy helping with editing wikia pages, this is one of the most well-maintained wikia pages I've come across! :) I would be happy to join you and help with whatever you need! I am about to check the forum post as we speak. Thank you so much!
