Hey when you upload images, could you rename them in your computer or phone before uploading them? It makes the files impossible to search for later on if they are under names like "998fgbuf890b8fhr93823r8r0.jpeg". If you name them, it'll make it easier down the road for people to find them and link them to pages and such.
Please don't add categories to pages without confirming that they are correct and meant for use on said pages. For example, The Last Hours category is used to categorize the individual book categories for CoG etc. So please remove that category from all the pages you added it to, and hold off on adding any more until Chain of Gold is released. Also check the order of the categories you're adding is in line with what's on The Shadowhunters' Wiki:Categorization Guide.
Hi. I'm reviewing edits on the wiki and I'm seeing that you still added unnecessary categories to certain pages even after this message from Red. For future reference, please be careful when categorizing pages. Refer to the Categorization guide page; other similar articles should also serve as guides, or ask the admins when in doubt.
Hi Bookperson876, and welcome to The Shadowhunters' Wiki! Thank you for visiting the wiki and contributing. Participating here comes with some responsibilities, however. The content of this automated message is important, so please read through it to avoid any potential problems.
As should be obvious from the wiki design and content, this wiki is focused solely on the books, not the TV series, and should thus not contain any information from it. Blatantly adding show-exclusive information will result in an instant, temporary block without warning because of the obvious, recurring, and very destructive nature of this violation (particularly because this causes false belief and confusion among book readers). And again, because this should be obvious. The block will be temporary and brief, should just be enough time to make you aware of your mistake.
Interested in editing articles? Look around the wiki for an idea about the page formats.
Already making consecutive contributions? See the wiki standards and other rules about acceptable information. To know more about the format of pages, see this sample article and look around the wiki for an idea.
If you feel like becoming a regular editor on the wiki, I implore that you read the wiki's general policies and look around the wiki for a feel of how things work around the wiki. Once you've gotten a hang of things and decide to stick around for editing, make sure to proceed to the more comprehensive policies and guidelines. Ask an admin if you need to.
If your edits are being undone (or if your uploads are being deleted) and you don't understand why (or if no one has reached out to you about your edits), you should find the reason or the violation you may have made in the edit summary or in the policy pages linked above.
