Mei is a Chinese warlock presumably living in Shanghai.
Biography[]
At some point in 1990 she was found and adopted by a family of Sighted mundanes. They immediately began looking for someone to help teach them how to properly parent a Downworlder and was able to find Catarina Loss. She and Magnus Bane came right away and made them a list of magical supplies and such that they'd need. During this exchange, Mei seemed frightened of Magnus, crying at the sight of him and hiding. At Catarina's behest, Magnus attempted to speak to her in Chinese, and she softened. Catarina remarked that she was a very lucky warlock, to be raised by loving parents.
Years later, Magnus wondered whether she remembered him at all, and how strange it was to touch someone's life that way and for them to not remember.[1]
