Mark Blackthorn is a half-faerie Shadowhunter who formerly lived in the Los Angeles Institute with his siblings and father.

Biography

This character's history is identical to that of his alternate dimension counterpart up until just before the Dark War, where the timeline split and the following changes took place.

Following the death of Clary Fairchild on the Battle of the Burren in 2007, Sebastian Morgenstern began to take over the world, beginning with the invasion of Alicante. At that time, Mark and his siblings were hiding in the Accords Hall as the adults fought and tried to protect them. When Sebastian's forces overpowered the Nephilim, a group of warlocks opened a Portal to New York City but only let children through, so Mark and Helen had to stay in Alicante while their younger brothers and sisters left.

Once in the New York shelter, Julian and his family were kept informed of the war effort in Idris by Helen. Through her messages, they learned that Mark had been taken by faeries.
