Marie Curie is a white rat Christopher Lightwood found and cared for at the Devil Tavern.
History[]
Christopher kept Marie in the room at the Devil Tavern he and his friends rented. He fed her on bread and chicken bones. The small rat was considered friendly and had a fondness for Lucie Herondale—resting on her shoulder and nuzzling into her hair. Eventually, Marie died of natural causes and was buried with a formal ceremony in Matthew Fairchild's back garden.[1]
