Malik Safar was a Shadowhunter, a trusted member of the New York Conclave, and the brother of Kadir.
History[]
In 2007, Malik was among the Shadowhunters who answered the distress call, albeit late, to the Silent City, along with Maryse Lightwood, Inquisitor Herondale, and Madeleine Bellefleur.
When Jace, who was supposed to be confined in the New York Institute, escaped with Clary and Luke, Malik had tried to interfere but was stopped by Madeleine.
Malik joined the rest of the Conclave in their raid on Valentine's ship where, after saving Jace once, he was eventually killed in the battle.[1]
