Maia Roberts is a werewolf who is part of the rebellion against the Legion of the Star in Los Angeles in Thule.
Biography[]
- This character's history is identical to that of her alternate dimension counterpart up until just before the Dark War, where the timeline split and the following changes took place.
Dark War[]
During the Battle of the Burren, the demon Lilith managed to kill Clary Fairchild, allowing Sebastian Morgenstern to win the battle, Maia barely managed to escape with the others.
After the battle, Maia began an unlikely friendship with the vampire Lily Chen. After Sebastian's worldwide conquest killed many of her friends, namely Alec, Magnus, and Lily, Maia got tattoos to honor them. At some point, she and Bat joined the Bradbury resistance.
Rebellion[]
When Emma and Julian first arrived at Bradbury they saw Maia and her boyfriend Bat descending a set of stairs wearing military clothes like the rest of the Bradbury inhabitants.
Later, Maia was in Livvy's office with Livvy and Bat looking at a map of Los Angeles when Julian, Emma and Diana came in. She was very excited by the news of their meeting Tessa and immediately began planning their break-in into the Silent City to get the Mortal Instruments. She helped divide groups - she was in charge of convincing Raphael to help and volunteer other vampires, Bat was handled the werewolf contingent, and Diana was assigned to weapons and rallying the rest they would need.
When they all went to the Silent City, Maia was in the group with Emma, Julian, Livvy, Bat, Cameron and a few more rebels. After Tessa opened the gate to the Silent City, she fell to the ground and Maia was called to bring a first aid kit. Soon the Endarkened swarmed and Maia began fighting them off with the other rebels. Sebastian then ordered the Endarkened to go into the Silent City to grab spell books and such, which led to Tessa trying to reseal the doors. Upon hearing this, Sebastian became enraged and began barking orders to stop her but was cut off by Maia having plunged a sword deep into his side. Soon after Emma killed Sebastian and the Endarkened fell. The rebels, having won their battle, gathered to bid farewell to Julian and Emma.[1]
Physical description[]
Maia wears her hair in two thick braids. She has four tattoos on her arm to honor her fallen friends; a lily for Lily Chen, a fletched arrow and a lick of blue flame for Alec and Magnus, and a sage leaf for Clary.[1]
