Luana Carvalho is a Shadowhunter and the head of the São Paulo Institute.
Biography[]
Luana was a friend of Carmen Delgado Mendoza and knew her daughter, Cristina Rosales, since Cristina's childhood.
In 2012, she attended the emergency meeting for Council members in the aftermath of Annabel Blackthorn's chaos, in which Horace Dearborn was appointed the new Inquisitor after Robert Lightwood's death. She spoke in defense of the Blackthorns.
When Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn became gigantic True Nephilim during the battle on the Imperishable Fields, she was part of the barricade of people that tried to prevent their friends and family from approaching them, fearing the harm the two posed. They were forced to scatter when the Wild Hunt and Kieran, on Windspear, flew low to disperse and hold back the crowd.[1]
