The Jahanshah family is an old Persian Shadowhunter family.
History[]
This family is believed to have been fighting demons longer than most and to have the blood of the great hero Rostam—who killed the Div-e Sepid—in them.[1]
In the 19th century Sona Carstairs was born into this Persian family. When Sona was a teen, the family hired the mundane Risa to be her lady's maid and she has been with Sona ever since.[2]
She went on to marry Elias Carstairs; with whom she had three children: Alastair, Cordelia, and Zachary.
