History

Heosphoros was made by Wayland the Smith many years ago when the Morgenstern family commisioned two new blades for father and son. The other blade was Phaesphoros, which was longer and designed for the father while Heosphoros was designed for the son. The two blades are named after different aspects of the morning star-Heosphoros meands dawn bringer while Phaesphoros means light bringer.

Before the Uprising, Jocelyn Fray sold Heosophoros to Diana Wrayburn's father who owned the weapons shop before her.

In the days before the Dark War, Clary Fray, along with Jace Herondale, visited Diana's shop. Diana offered Clary Heosphoros and told her to kill her brother with it and avenge her family.

Appearance

Heosphoros is said to be the length of Clary's forearm. It is described as beautiful, made of gold and adamas, On the other side of the blade along the ridge is a pattern of black stars.
