Hans von Mainz was a Prussian Shadowhunter.
Biography[]
In 1832, Hans covered himself in gold leaf and wore a pair of wooden frames haphazardly covered with chicken feathers. His father Johannes believed him to be an angel he had summoned into their cow barn and called the entire Clave to see him. The Clave party who came saw Hans uttering gibberish, but when they realized it was Hans, his father hid in humiliation. Hans was humiliated and thereafter could not even show his face in town without being catcalled and pelted with feathers.[1]
