The Familias rune is a rune that will lead family members wearing the rune to one another.
Description[]
An incomplete Familias rune would need to be applied on members of a family. Drawn partially at first, the rune only needs to be drawn to completion by at least one member to activate all the connected Familias runes. The rune will draw the members towards each other, feeling an almost physical pull until they're close to each other. The feeling is apparently comparable to the effect of tracking runes.
The rune may also simply be able to let the wearers know how their family is doing, as long as they are also wearing the rune.[1]
Instances of use[]
In 2012, Helen Blackthorn considered using a Familias rune to find her brother Julian in Faerie before Mark pointed out that not only would Jules need to have a Familias rune on him as well, but the rune wouldn't work in Faerie.
In preparation for Julian's plans for the Cohort's parley, the Blackthorn family all wore partial Familias runes. Dru activated hers and the family, except Julian who was not himself at the time, was able to easily regroup on the Imperishable Fields amidst the fighting.[1]
