–this Diana to Emma and Julian upon meeting them, QoAaD

Diana Wrayburn is a former Shadowhunter who is a part of the rebellion against the Legion of the Star in Los Angeles in Thule.

Biography[]

This character's history and characteristics are identical to that of her alternate dimension counterpart up until just before the Dark War, where the timeline split and the following changes took place.

Dark War[]

During the invasion of Alicante, Diana fought against Sebastian Morgenstern's forces. At this time, she saw Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn fighting in the Accords Hall. She then saw them and the rest of the Blackthorn children get Portaled away.

At the last battle of Idris, she witnessed Isabelle Lightwood's murder at the hands of Sebastian after failing to harm him with the Mortal Sword. She was able to survive being killed or Endarkened and was one of the few Shadowhunters who lived through the war.

Sometime after the Dark War, Diana joined up with Livia's resistance to fight Sebastian's rule.

Rebellion[]

In 2014, when Diana arrived back at the Bradbury Building after having spent some time in Mexico City, she encountered Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn of our world. Emma hugged her on sight, surprising Diana a bit before she led them to Livvy's office to see Tessa Gray's message. Upon deciphering the message, Diana decided to accompany Emma and Julian to find the warlock. It was during this trip that Diana unknowingly revealed their world's Diana's secret of being transgender.

On the trip back, Diana parted ways with Julian and Emma when they were stopped by a demon saying that Sebastian requested their presence. However, she waited for them back at the building. They discussed what had happened and Diana led them back to Livvy's office so they could describe their meeting with Tessa. When Maia handed out roles for their upcoming mission to break-in to the Silent City, Diana was assigned to weapons and rallying some more rebels to fill their numbers. Emma decided to tag along with her to the weapons room and here she told Emma what had become of parabatai in Thule (again unknowingly revealing key information to Emma).

The next day, the rebels went forward with their plan to infiltrate the Silent City. Once Tessa opened the doors, Diana, Cameron, Emma and Julian went inside to retrieve the Mortal Instruments. On their way out they were attacked by Sebastian's Endarkened. Diana told Emma and Julian to get out of there and bring the instruments to safety while she and Cameron fought them off. Later in the battle, Diana managed to escape the Silent City just as Sebastian called for his army to go down and steal more items. It was then decided that Tessa would reseal the doors, locking Cameron inside.

Diana continued to fight but soon Emma killed Sebastian and the Endarkened fell. She bid farewell to Emma and Julian with newfound hope for their world, the rebels having won the battle.[1]
