Cross Bones Graveyard is an unconsecrated cemetery located near London Bridge in London, England.

Description[]

The entrance to the cemetery is located halfway down the block. To mundanes, it is glamoured to look like a plot of overgrown land. Those with the Sight will see a pair of wrought iron gates set into a high stone wall with a big bronze hand-shaped knocker—which is used to raise ghosts by letting it fall and clink three times.[1]

History[]

As it is a burial ground for outcasted deaths such as suicides, prostitutes, and stillborn children, the cemetery is well populated with ghosts. Those with the ability to see and hear ghosts, hear a chorus of wails, cries, and snarls when nearby.

In 1878, Will Herondale went to this cemetery on behalf of the warlock Magnus Bane to speak with Old Molly, a resident ghost of the cemetery. He bartered for Foraii demon powders to be used as spell components and eventually convinced Old Mol that it was not a trap. As payment, he gave her a bag full of wedding rings that fit the description of the ring her soul needed to find to move on from the living world.[1]
