Brigitte de Polignac was a subjugate of the vampire Marcel Saint Cloud, then the head of the most powerful clan of vampires in Paris. The niece of the Duke de Polignac, once beloved members of one of the great families of France, Brigitte was made a subjugate in the 18th century after her brother, Henri, took her to Saint Cloud. They have since stayed together as servants of the vampire, doing his bidding.
When she saw Magnus Bane at Marcel's party in 1791 and he mentioned her "previous life", she kept giggling and smiling to herself about it as if the idea amused her. Magnus also observed that Henri touched her inappropriately, suggesting an incestuous relationship between the siblings.[1]
