Bertram Pounceby is a Shadowhunter from the Edwardian era, who attended the Shadowhunter Academy with James Herondale.

Biography

In 1900, Bertram attended the parabatai ceremony of Matthew Fairchild and James Herondale with his friend Albert Breakspear. He was shocked the Clave gave their approval for the ceremony to be performed, believing parabatai to be an honor and Matthew and James undeserving. He speculated that the Angel would not accept them as parabatai and that the ceremony would not work; or that James may turn to shadow when Matthew attempted to apply his rune. None of which proved true.
