Atropa Belladonna is a type of deadly nightshade.

Uses[]

When mixed with demon poison, it forms a cataplasm—a deadly poison that can also be used as a weapon. It is only fatal if ingested or absorbed in the bloodstream.[1]

History[]

In 2012, Malcolm Fade was growing some of this plant at the convergence site of ley lines where he was trying to resurrect Annabel Blackthorn. He gave some of the leaves of the plant to Johnny Rook to distill into a compound he could use. With the left over, Johnny decided to poison tip some arrows to sell to a Centurion against his knowledge.[1]

Trivia[]

  • A type of Atropa belladonna is grown in Cornwall, which is deadlier than the average belladonna.[1]
  • Healing runes cannot save you from its effects.[1]
  • Its name translates to "beautiful lady".[1]
  • There is an undersea variety of the plant that is cultivated by mermaids called deadly nightsea. One taste of it is death and thus it is not allowed to be sold at the Shadow Market.[2]
