SPOILER WARNING: Plot details follow. Caution is advised!
Albert Pangborn is a Shadowhunter who runs the Cornwall Institute in Edwardian times.
Biography[]
In 1850, Albert took over running the Cornwall Institute from Felix Blackthorn.
In December 1903, Albert attended James Herondale and Cordelia Carstairs's wedding at the London Institute.[1]
A few days later, Magnus Bane and Brother Zachariah were sent on a mission to his Institute to inspect the spell books there. Towards the end of their time there, Albert reported that the Black Volume of the Dead kept moving on its own accord. He allowed them to take it to the Spiral Labyrinth for further investigation and possible exorcism, though he was adamant that the book's rightful place was in the Cornwall Institute.[2]
Appearances[]
- Chain of Iron (first mention)
- Chain of Thorns (first and only appearance)
Trivia[]
- Albert apparently has extremely tacky hands which is commented on by many people—even in the form of a nickname by the Herondale children.[1]
