Historia[]
El padre de Simon era judío. Durante Yom Kipur, solía compartir con la familia aquello por lo que estaba expiando en ese momento y pedía a todos los demás que hicieran lo mismo. Esto se convirtió en una tradición familiar que su familia mantuvo incluso mucho tiempo después de su muerte.[1]
Después de su muerte, su esposa, Elaine, quedó tan devastada que tuvo una mala racha y se convirtió en alcohólica por un tiempo.[2][3]
